Overview In this role you oversee day-to-day construction operations across one or more projects, collaborating with EPC/CM teams to deliver safe, high-quality, on-schedule results. You manage cost control, contracts, subcontractors, client relations, and project documentation, driving risk management and efficient resource use. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, ensure permits and safety programs, and contribute to project planning from pre-construction through closeout. This position offers impact by shaping execution on complex projects and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure successful project execution
- Develop and manage project plans including scheduling, cost development, and staffing
- Negotiate primes, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
- Lead safety, quality, and procurement plans; manage risk reviews with Legal
- Coordinate RFP/bid processes, scope of work, and contractor selection
- Manage invoicing, cash flow forecasting, and project reporting to stakeholders
- Support client relations, proposals, and project-related items
- Mentor junior staff and manage field teams and crafts across projects
- Ensure compliance with permits, insurance, taxes, and bonding requirements
- Oversee documentation, turnover, closeout, and warranty processes
- Coordinate commissioning/startup activities and supplier management
- Monitor progress, risk, and cost metrics; implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain craft classifications, labor rates, and training standards
- Review field reports and ensure subcontractor and client contractor compliance
- Onboard supervision and manage staffing on projects
- Drive performance through procurement planning, staffing, and risk mitigation
- Maintain and audit project documentation and records
- Support government and public entity interactions on project matters
Key requirements- Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of relevant construction project management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software preferred
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water sectors preferred
