Overview In this role you will safeguard SAIC's cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring security and availability across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with a cross-functional team to deploy FedRAMP-compliant cloud services in AWS GovCloud and manage access, encryption, and lifecycle controls. You'll perform CVE scans, monitor logs, and enforce least-privilege IAM policies to protect sensitive biometric and identity data. The position offers hands-on, hybrid work and opportunities to influence security posture in a mission-critical setting.
Responsibilities- Collaborate to deploy and manage FedRamp-compliant cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud
- Maintain security policies and ATO readiness aligned with CIA triad
- Conduct CVE scans and remediation, monitor logs, and respond to security inquiries
- Configure and maintain VPCs, security groups, and IP whitelisting
- Manage IAM users and roles to enforce PoLP
- Implement data security for rest and in transit, and manage data lifecycle policies
- Coordinate software installations, patches, and security updates for cloud systems
- Evaluate and recommend next-gen software and services for secured cloud deployment
- Develop standard operating procedures and train team members on cloud operations
Key requirements- Bachelors in a technical discipline with 5+ years of experience, or Masters with 3+ years, or PhD with 0 years; additional experience in lieu of degree
- US Citizen and able to obtain DHS Suitability Public Trust
- Experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, CloudWatch
- Experience performing CVE scans and managing system updates
- Linux server administration and CLI proficiency
- Knowledge of government ATO processes, MFA, FedRamp and FISMA compliance
