Senior Legal Counsel

Overview

In this role you will provide practical legal guidance to Analysis Group's consultants and staff, handling a diverse range of agreements and internal advisory matters. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to balance risk with business needs and address evolving legal issues, including AI-related risk. You will independently manage complex contracts, coordinate with outside counsel, and help advance the firm's risk management and compliance efforts. This position offers the opportunity to shape legal strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting high-impact client work.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements (engagement letters, vendor, consulting, collaboration, data licenses, NDAs, MSAs, statements of work)
  • Provide practical, in-house legal advice on diverse topics and perform legal research on priority firm projects
  • Assist in firm-wide risk management and process improvements, including AI-related initiatives
  • Manage outside counsel to obtain timely, practical guidance on specific issues
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and Information Security on contractual obligations
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and a minimum of five years of legal experience
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements
  • Combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, analytical and critical thinking
  • Attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience with litigation support, AI vendors, pharmaceutical research, and/or data privacy a plus
  • Willingness to learn, collaborative mindset, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction
