Overview In this role you drive design management with a focus on mitigating design risk, ensuring project goals are met efficiently. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee design through construction and improve delivery quality. You tackle design coordination, reviews, and system-specific peer reviews to maintain alignment with project requirements. Responsibilities- Lead and oversee design phase management efforts
- Oversee design services from pursuit to construction completion to mitigate design risk
- Participate in design phase meetings and interface with the design team
- Oversee design document reviews for completeness and conformance with project requirements
- Lead cost/scope/schedule reconciliation processes
- Coordinate peer reviews for special systems as needed
- Coordinate design with bid package preparation to support schedule and construction
- Oversee contractual compliance reviews and obtain necessary approvals
- Travel locally or cross-regionally as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key requirements- Minimum four-year bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Licensed Architect or Engineer preferred
- LEED Accredited Professional (AP) preferred
- 10-15 years of experience in design and construction
- Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in all phases of design
- Minimum 5 years of design phase management experience
- Experience with Design/Build delivery required
- Knowledge of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) desired
- Proficient in CADD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
