Overview In this role you will lead architectural design across projects under supervision, developing alternative concepts and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team. You will translate client needs into viable, compliant design solutions and guide documentation through to construction administration. You'll mentor junior staff and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative studio culture. This opportunity centers on shaping impactful architectural work-especially in healthcare, education, and civic facilities-within HDR's employee-owned, global practice.
Responsibilities- Design architectural concepts and develop components for complex projects under guidance
- Coordinate design across multi-disciplinary teams through all project phases
- Develop materials for client presentations and reviews with regulators for approvals
- Assess code and cost implications to ensure viable designs
- Mentor junior designers and support the design culture of the studio
- Prepare and review architectural documents and specifications with the Project Architect/Manager
- Provide construction contract administration assistance to preserve design intent
- Integrate client changes into project documents
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications
