Overview As Thought Leadership Communications Strategist, you develop and execute strategic communications to elevate CLIENT Foundation research. You will translate complex work into compelling narratives and lead cross-functional plans that advance thought leadership, audience engagement, and the Foundation's influence. You'll build scalable storytelling frameworks and playbooks that align stakeholders and measure impact, helping to advance Foundation 2030 priorities. This role blends strategy, storytelling, and stakeholder collaboration to shape how insights reach the right audiences.
Responsibilities- Develop strategic plans and oversee their implementation for thought leadership dissemination (10-12 annually)
- Create integrated communication strategies to raise awareness, engagement, and influence
- Develop messaging architecture and storytelling frameworks translating complex research into audience-specific communications
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment among Foundation and enterprise stakeholders to improve processes
- Create communications playbooks, frameworks, and measurement approaches for scalable, effective dissemination and reputation-building
Key requirements- 8-10 years of experience in strategic communications, thought leadership, public affairs, research communications, or related field
- Proven ability to translate complex research, data, policy, or social impact into compelling narratives
- Exceptional writing, messaging, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with nonprofit, philanthropy, advocacy, public affairs, or mission-driven organizations preferred
- Familiarity with audience engagement, reputation management, media relations, executive communications, and content strategy
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and project management tools (e.g., Asana)
