Overview In this role you join Houlihan Lokey's Financial Valuation Advisory Services, focusing on valuing structured products and illiquid securities within a collaborative engagement team. You will interact with clients on active engagements and contribute to market-based valuation work. The position blends rigorous quantitative analysis with client-facing deliverables and marketing support. You will grow through training and exposure to diverse asset classes, supporting senior professionals and improving valuation practices.

Responsibilities- Analyze and value structured products, asset-backed loans, loan pools, and illiquid securities
- Determine valuation assumptions from performance history, collateral type, and economic scenarios
- Apply discounted cash flow frameworks to derive value indications
- Conduct market research and calibrate proprietary models using market data
- Review and compile financial information and market data across asset classes
- Prepare client deliverables including valuation reports and pitch materials
- Participate in due diligence meetings and respond to auditor questions regarding valuation analyses
- Present valuation analyses to senior management, boards, and fiduciaries
- Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments on distribution reports and financial statements
- Assist with economic and industry research for investment attributes of illiquid securities
- Support sales and marketing efforts for prospective and existing clients
- Conduct ad-hoc research and analytics for FVA project teams
Key requirements- 1-3 years of work experience
- Strong analytical abilities and experience modeling discounted cash flows
- Fundamental understanding of valuation theory and methods
- Strong Excel skills and ability to produce reports and client-ready presentations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
