Overview

In this role you will assess problems in oil and gas production projects, identify profitable improvements, and craft solutions for completion, workover, and facilities. You operate with minimal supervision while seeking expert input when needed, contributing to efficiencies and profit. You collaborate with partners, service providers, and field staff to execute projects safely and effectively. This position supports the company's mission to be a premier energy operator by optimizing resources that would otherwise be lost.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze daily production data (oil, water, gas rates; pressures and temperatures) to maximize production and profitability
  • Analyze Lease Operating Expenses (LOE) and optimize cost efficiency
  • Possess functional knowledge of production systems (flow lines, separators, storage, metering, dehydration, compression) and artificial lift (gas compression, gas lift, ESP, plunger lift, capillary foams, PCP)
  • Plan and interpret open and cased hole logging operations; write and supervise detailed completion/workover procedures
  • Estimate and manage costs of completion/workover projects and perform economic analyses using company methodology
  • Assist field site supervisors in executing completion/workover projects
  • Apply effective people skills to engage partners, service providers, and field personnel; solicit ideas to secure buy-in
  • Contribute entrepreneurial thinking to support the company's vision and protect assets and IP
  • Be available 24/7 for questions and emergencies; adhere to values and attendance standards
Key requirements
  • Four (4) years of oil and gas production field operations engineering experience
  • Ability to solve problems and interpret production data accurately
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across departments and with external parties
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks with differing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university or college
