Safety Coordinator I/II/Sr - Midstream Construction

Overview

In this role you will partner with Midstream teams to embed a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable safe, efficient work by employees and contractors. You will lead field safety activities, conduct investigations, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. The position offers field exposure across EQT's operating area and opportunities for growth through cross-functional collaboration and development.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and internal policies
  • Collaborate with Operations and contractors to identify, assess, and mitigate hazards and risks
  • Provide field-based safety support through observations, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and emergency response
  • Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Participate in RHA's, MOC's, PSSR's, pre-job assessments, and SIMOPS meetings
  • Develop and deliver safety training and briefings to contractors and personnel
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce workplace incidents
  • Coach and engage contractors and operations to reinforce safe practices and correct unsafe behaviors
  • Analyze safety performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
  • Build relationships with Operations, regulators, and stakeholders to support safe operations
  • Provide field-level safety support for Midstream Construction Operations
Key requirements
  • 0-7+ years of safety compliance experience in midstream oil and gas projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Science or related field (ASP, GSP, or CSP preferred)
  • Knowledge of oil and gas business and contractor management
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to deliver trainings and summarize data
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and with all team levels; discretion with confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and organization for record keeping
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work on-call with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Field-based role with travel across EQT operating area; occasional overnight travel
