Overview In this role, you contribute to Ford's Electronics Platform Architecture by defining and evolving the vehicle's electrical architecture across programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to document KPIs and ensure architectural coherence for upcoming platforms. You'll influence future computing platforms and tackling architectural issues from pre-launch through post-launch. Responsibilities- Own the core vehicle electrical hardware architecture for each program from creation through post-launch
- Document electrical and software architecture content and drive platform updates for program features
- Lead resolution of architectural issues across programs
- Collaborate with functional teams on electrical architectural KPIs (packaging, latency, power, network, CPU usage)
- Design future computing platforms aligned with sophisticated EE architectures
- Contribute to development of advanced computing solutions for next-gen EE architectures
Key requirements- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with automotive electrical architectures
- 1+ years of experience with automotive microcontrollers/microprocessors (coursework/internship/co-op acceptable)
- 1+ years of experience with simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills for problem decomposition and designing effective solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Interpersonal communication to explain complex subjects to technical and non-technical stakeholders
