Overview In this role you will coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new builds and rehabilitation, ensuring plans and designs meet standards. You will oversee drawings and specifications, review consultant work, and collaborate with various disciplines and client agencies. The position is part of the NY HELPS program, offering permanent non-competitive placement with growth potential. Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs
- Supervise and review specifications and drawings from Assistant Architects and drafting personnel
- Review technical work of consultants
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Confer with client agencies and contractors
- Supervise consultant work
- Perform a full range of supervisory duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- New York State Architect license and current registration OR alternative eligibility under NYS Civil Service options including 52.7 non-competitive promotion with relevant experience and licensure
- Possession of a valid NYS driver's license or ability to meet transportation needs
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
