Overview In this role you guide Owner's Engineer engagements for renewable power projects, with a focus on wind. You lead cross functional teams, shape scope and budgets, and maintain strong client relationships from business development through execution. You mentor junior staff and act as a technical resource to deliver high value solutions. This position combines technical rigor with leadership to help clients advance wind, solar, and storage assets at scale.
Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle Owner's Engineer projects from business development to execution
- Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, analysts, and financial consultants
- Develop scope, budgets, and contractual terms with clients
- Manage risk assessment processes and report status to stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and champion technical excellence
- Coordinate reviews across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Support coordination between wind turbine suppliers and balance of plant contractors
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high quality deliverables
Key requirements- Bachelor degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field; 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of project management techniques and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience leading technical consulting engagements in renewable energy (wind, solar, or storage)
- Experience in consulting projects or program management within critical infrastructure
- Understanding of general business and financial principles
- Ability to communicate across business segments to align project objectives
