Overview In this role, you will serve as a Finance SME within FINLab and the Modeling and Simulation Innovation Center, delivering analyses that inform regulation, market stability, and national security. You'll collaborate with government, industry, and academia to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and policy guidance. The position blends finance, computation, and data analytics to shape resilience of the US banking system and markets. You will work on high-impact, national-scale studies with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to transform how financial regulation and supervision are approached.

Responsibilities- Develop multidisciplinary approaches to analyze financial data and trends affecting US financial systems
- Propose and conduct analyses or research on financial regulation, banking supervision, and new technologies in payments or distributed ledgers
- Assess US capabilities and potential threats to financial stability and security
- Perform analytic and simulation-based analyses to generate new insights for policy decisions
- Provide commercial and market analyses to sponsors and identify mitigation options
Key requirements- 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 6 years with a Master's, or 3 years with a PhD (or equivalent); strong academic credentials in quantitative or computational finance
- Peer-reviewed publication record as an evidence of research ability
- Experience in financial analysis and market modeling
- Proven ability to design and execute impactful research
- Ability to bridge finance, computational, and data analytics domains
- Experience in multidisciplinary teams on national security challenges
- Excellent analytic writing and verbal/presentation skills
- Experience or familiarity with visualizing multidimensional financial data using tools like Tableau, Plotly, ggplot2, matplotlib, seaborn, or D3.js
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, R, etc.) and related libraries for data analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
- Minimum 50% hybrid on-site work arrangement
