Overview

You will lead construction management for data center builds, owning scope, schedule and budget while coordinating with cross-functional teams. You'll drive cost, quality, and safety on-site, partnering with operations, networking, controls, and security to deliver energy-efficient, scalable data centers. This role offers ownership from design review to hand-off and meaningful impact on reliability and cost for AWS customers. Responsibilities
  • Direct interface with general contractors across bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases
  • Negotiate bids, evaluate proposals with detail and accuracy
  • Create project scope documents and RFx responses
  • Perform financial analysis of construction projects
  • Manage projects to improve data center resiliency
  • Review electrical and mechanical constructability designs for new or existing centers
  • Manage construction documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing
  • Ensure quality control and track construction metrics for the team
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures
  • Provide leadership within the group and across internal/external teams
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience taking new design concepts through exploration to deployment or mass production
  • Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS
  • 5+ years of project management in data centers or similar critical infrastructure
  • Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)
