Overview In this role you will lead FTZ operations at the Middletown, CT site, ensuring compliant, efficient processes. Responsibilities- Oversee FTZ operations at the Middletown site, including customs documentation, accounting, reconciliation, and waste management
- Maintain full compliance with U.S. import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR, FTR, CBP) with support of the central Customs team; prepare for audits and investigations
- Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, and Finance to enhance FTZ processes and test software/system updates for compliance and efficiency
- Identify compliance risks, propose mitigations, and drive corrective actions to resolution
- Deliver FTZ training across departments and contribute to a Community of Practice for best practices
- Partner with the central Customs team and other departments on trade compliance initiatives, audits, and strategic improvement projects
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of applicable work experience; OR an Advanced degree with 5+ years of applicable work experience
- 5+ years in US import compliance operations and/or supply chain management
- 5+ years of FTZ, US Customs compliance operations, or other trade compliance experience (ITAR, EAR, FTR)
