Overview In this role you support our local CPA practice by delivering outsourced accounting services to diverse clients, focusing on accurate financial records, GAAP compliance, and client service. You will lead engagement with clients, mentor staff, and help optimize CAS workflows to scale our service delivery. The position offers opportunities to work from multiple Iowa locations, including Dubuque, and to contribute to process improvements and client onboarding. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial statements, payroll and tax filings, and insightful financial analysis.

Responsibilities- Prepare and present financial statements for complex clients
- Manage accounts receivable/payable, reconcile bank and GL accounts
- Oversee payroll and sales tax filings and processing
- Research payroll and sales tax issues
- Review junior staff work and provide guidance
- Conduct quarterly financial reviews with clients and discuss insights
- Engage with clients to address accounting needs and deliver service
- Assist in onboarding new clients and setting up reporting protocols
- Maintain data integrity and organized workpapers
- Collaborate with firm-wide teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Identify opportunities to streamline CAS processes and improve efficiency
Key requirements- 6+ years in public accounting with emphasis in CAS/Outsourced Accounting
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and best practices
- Previous public accounting or related experience
- Experience overseeing/mentoring/training staff
- MS in Taxation is preferred
