Overview In this role you will partner with Circle's Enterprise, Payments, and Ecosystem teams to structure, negotiate, and draft complex fintech and crypto transactions globally. You help scale Circle's Arc network and stablecoin infrastructure by shaping commercial agreements and contract templates for diverse markets. You will implement efficient contracting processes and provide practical transactional guidance across a global go-to-market motion. This position offers meaningful impact in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment that values integrity and excellence.
Responsibilities- Structure, negotiate, and draft complex fintech, payments, crypto, and tech transactions across global markets.
- Support creation and expansion of contract templates and terms of use for products and services (stablecoin infrastructure, payments rails, Arc network).
- Assist in developing processes, procedures, and metrics to improve contracting effectiveness.
- Provide contract interpretation and management support to enterprise platforms, marketplaces, PSPs, and payments-native companies globally.
- Stay current on developments in finance, payments, stablecoins, digital assets, and blockchain to advise on transactional issues.
Key requirements- 10+ years of hands-on legal experience in global commercial transactions (in-house and/or top-tier law firm).
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex fintech, financial services, and technology agreements (enterprise platforms, payments, ecosystem partnerships).
- Ability to support international business teams across regions and time zones.
- Experience advising cross-functional teams on strategic partnerships and complex commercial initiatives.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory issues affecting payments, stablecoins, blockchain, digital assets, and technology platforms; APAC/ Americas exposure preferred.
- Ability to manage legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and operational implications across stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex issues into actionable guidance.
- Highly organized, collaborative, capable of working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- J.D. or foreign equivalent, active U.S. State Bar membership, and comfort with Slack, MacOS, GSuite, ChatGPT, and AI-enabled workflows.
