Overview In this role you will lead field operations for multi-site retail, restaurant, and commercial buildouts across the NYC tri-state area. You'll own job-site performance, coordinating trades and inspections to meet tight brand rollout schedules. You'll drive quality, safety, and on-time turnover while maintaining strong communication with clients, architects, and landlords. Responsibilities- Run day-to-day field operations from mobilization through turnover on retail, restaurant, or commercial buildout projects
- Directly supervise subcontractors and trade partners to meet schedule milestones
- Conduct site walks, QC checks, and manage punch list through close-out
- Enforce safety programs and OSHA compliance on site
- Coordinate inspections with local building departments and officials
- Manage material deliveries and resolve field logistics issues
- Track progress against schedule and flag delays to PM
- Review drawings and specs to ensure correct installation
- Communicate with clients, architects, and landlord representatives on active sites
- Maintain daily job site reports and documentation
Key requirements- 5+ years as construction superintendent on commercial buildout, retail, or restaurant projects
- Experience managing multiple trades on fast-paced, schedule-driven work
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, codes, and NYC tri-state inspections
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to NY, NJ, and CT job sites
