Overview In HDR, as Construction Manager you oversee site activity, reporting on progress, safety, quality, and budget. You collaborate with owners, engineers, and contractors to keep projects on track and compliant. You'll manage submittals, change orders, and scheduling analyses while supporting larger, complex projects. This role offers a chance to influence water/wastewater facilities and contribute to HDR's inclusive, employee-owned culture. You will drive accountability and cross-functional coordination to deliver meaningful infrastructure outcomes.
Responsibilities- Maintain daily records of site activity and generate progress, safety, quality, permit compliance, schedule and budget reports
- Review construction submittals including shop drawings and pay applications
- Prepare, issue and negotiate Change Orders
- Review and analyse baseline and updated construction schedules
- Coordinate with the Owner, Engineer, and Contractor and other project team members
- Support more senior staff on larger, more complex projects
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction planning and management (field engineering, submittals, estimating, scheduling, site safety)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
- Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must
