Overview

In this role you will develop and coordinate VDC models to support constructability and field alignment, while providing field and project-team support. You will apply 3D/4D/5D workflows to improve coordination and communicate solutions across teams. The position emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and hands-on use of VDC tools on active projects. You will help train teams, develop standards, and explore new technologies to enhance project delivery. This is a growth-focused opportunity at a long-established, values-driven construction firm.

Responsibilities
  • Model development and coordination to ensure constructability and field alignment
  • Provide field and project-team support including planning, quantities, constructability coordination, visualizations, scheduling, logistics, LiDAR, drone work
  • Apply VDC tools (3D/4D/5D) to improve workflows and produce models, renderings, and simulations
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement VDC workflows and maintain relationships across field and office
  • Manage RFIs, ASIs, and digital documentation; ensure accessible data and calculate metrics
  • Provide basic training and contribute to VDC standards and training materials
  • Research and trial new software/hardware; support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create visuals and documentation to support marketing and business development
  • Represent the VDC team professionally on sites and meetings; stay current with tools and apply new knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Previous internship experience in a construction role supporting VDC
  • LEAN principles experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement; initiative and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks; familiarity with Sketchup, Fuzor, Infraworks, Adobe Suite
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn job-specific software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
