Overview As a Project Manager at Vistra, you will lead construction programs across thermal, solar, and energy storage projects, ensuring safety, on-time, and on-budget delivery. You will coordinate with Vistra engineers, commissioning managers, and contractors to implement fleet-wide standards and meet development goals. You'll manage staffing, site execution plans, and EPC contract aspects, with hands-on leadership from mobilization to substantial completion. This role offers exposure to large-scale renewables and cross-functional collaboration within a global energy company. Your work will help Vistra scale its project portfolio while upholding safety, quality, and performance standards.
Responsibilities- Lead large-scale projects from conception to final completion
- Negotiate and manage EPC contracts
- Plan construction activities per Vistra standards and develop site execution plans
- Provide staffing and oversee construction tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety, budget, and performance requirements
- Collaborate with internal support functions and external partners
- Oversee turnover documentation and commissioning activities
- Assemble Release to Operations package and close out execution plan
Key requirements- 10+ years in power generation operations, maintenance, engineering, budgeting, and contractor management
- Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work long/irregular hours and travel frequently
