Overview In this role you support the electrical design team by directing construction administration for complex projects, mainly data centers and large multi-building sites. You'll coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is realized in the field. You'll review submittals and RFIs, monitor schedules, and help drive quality and compliance. Responsibilities- Track and closeout construction submittals and RFIs with project managers and discipline leads
- Serve as liaison between contractor and design team during construction administration
- Review RFIs and submittals to route for appropriate design review
- Monitor timeliness of RFI and submittal responses
- Read and interpret technical procedures, codes, plans, specs; author reports and correspondence
- Conduct site visits and report on on-site progress and deviations
- Participate in weekly construction meetings and commissioning planning as needed
- Peer review design documents for QA/QC and assist with process improvements
- Mentor junior staff in construction administration best practices and foster team relationships
- Stay updated on NEC, IEEE, NECA, OSHA and related regulations
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or licensed Master Level Electrician/Electrical Contractor
- Minimum 6 years of experience in project and construction management on green field multi-building sites
- Willingness and ability to walk, climb stairs and scaffolding on large active sites
- Travel availability 40-50%
- Ability to pass background checks and drug testing as required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Experience with hyperscale data center construction is a plus
