Overview In this role, you will lead people operations to strengthen the employee experience and ensure compliant, consistent workplace practices. You will shape HR programs and provide guidance to employees and leaders, aligning with organizational goals. You'll impact hiring, onboarding, performance support, compensation administration, and day-to-day employee relations, partnering with leadership and legal counsel to promote fair, equitable people practices. This is a hands-on role that influences workforce planning and HR communications across the organization.
Responsibilities- Lead development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and workplace guidelines aligned with legal and organizational standards
- Advise leadership, staff, contractors, and volunteers on HR matters including employee relations, performance concerns, staffing questions, and workplace practices
- Manage recruitment from planning through candidate selection and oversee onboarding for new hires
- Create and maintain HR materials such as job descriptions, training resources, performance tools, improvement plans, and benefits documentation
- Partner with leadership and legal counsel to ensure employment law compliance and fair, consistent people practices
- Support compensation and benefits administration with guidance on pay practices and benefits information
- Oversee HR communications across platforms (internal docs, website, payroll resources, absence management tools, training systems)
- Supervise the Payroll and Benefits Associate and coordinate related support tasks
- Assist managers with coaching, performance management, absence tracking, and other workforce planning needs
