Overview

In this Bridge Project Manager role, you'll lead the delivery of bridge-focused projects from planning through construction documents, coordinating teams and clients to ensure scope, schedule, and quality targets. You'll manage project financials and serve as the primary liaison between SSR and clients across DOTs, municipalities, and private entities. The position offers growth through diverse bridge work, including replacements, repairs, and retaining structures, within a collaborative, owner-driven culture. This role is a chance to shape infrastructure projects at scale and advance your technical and leadership impact.

Responsibilities
  • Own project delivery from planning to construction documents
  • Lead bridge projects including replacements, repairs, retaining wall designs, and load ratings
  • Confirm scope and deliverables with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Develop proposal letters, staffing plans, and budgets
  • Plan and facilitate kick-offs and coordination meetings, communicating scope, budget, and schedules
  • Monitor performance against scope, schedule, and budget; identify and address risks
  • Coordinate resource planning tools and support revenue forecasting, invoicing, and AR follow-up
  • Prepare and implement project-specific QA/QC plans and ensure documentation
  • Assist in technical development of bridge design and load ratings
  • Utilize industry software to support design and analysis
  • Maintain timely communication with contractors and clients
  • Invest in growth through training in bridge engineering and project management
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited college with four years of relevant experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer in TN or ability to obtain license within six months OR ten years of practical experience on similar projects
