Overview As an MEP Manager, you define the MEP execution process and oversee all MEP staff on a large construction project. You work primarily on site, ensuring safe, on-time delivery while coordinating with cross-functional teams and the client. You drive MEP coordination, quality plans, and commissioning, shaping outcomes on schools, labs, hospitals, and offices. This role blends leadership with hands-on technical oversight to deliver high-impact projects.

Responsibilities- Approve all MEP and Commissioning schedules
- Assist with the preparation of the GMP
- Supervise MEP subcontracting strategies and prepare Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages and equipment
- Negotiate pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment manufacturers
- Perform MEP constructability (IDC+) and coordination reviews of contract documents
- Provide guidance and approves the MEP Contractors schedule of values
- Define best approach for MEP buyout
- Ensure timely and proper execution of the MEP Coordination Process (BIM)
- Create a project-specific MEP quality plan and verify its proper execution
- Perform site inspections for MEP compliance and manage third-party inspection
- Establish and implement controls to identify and correct negative trends in commissioning
- Communicate with owner/owner's representative on expectations and satisfaction
- Train direct reports on processes and daily tasks
- Manage workload and performance of direct reports to align with company standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
- Aid in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports
- Collaborate with business development to ensure alignment with sales strategies and client deliverables
- Actively participate in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years related field MEP experience
- OSHA 30 hour certified
- Experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong scheduling skills with proficiency in scheduling software
- Strong risk management skills
- Ability to manage the quality assurance process for all MEP work
- Ability to create an environment where safety is paramount and incident-free execution
