Overview In this role you will act as the primary HR contact for the New York office, partnering with local management to drive compliant, productive people operations. You'll handle employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and policy execution, ensuring legal alignment with NY/NJ labor laws. You will translate business needs into practical HR solutions and lead local development initiatives. Responsibilities- Manage complex employee relations issues and conduct objective investigations
- Support performance review processes with managers and development planning
- Interpret and ensure consistent application of company policies and local laws
- Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition to fulfill local recruiting needs
- Oversee onboarding for New York employees to ensure a smooth transition
- Identify training needs and deliver local development programs, including compliance courses
- Handle day-to-day HR administration, reporting, and data integrity
Key requirements- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally as HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) highly desirable
- Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws (NY and NJ)
- Strong judgment, analytical problem-solving, and ability to manage complex issues
- Ability to work autonomously with limited local HR support
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
