Overview In this role you protect store assets and reduce loss by executing safety initiatives, surveillance, and investigations. You work closely with the district AP manager to implement AP strategies, monitor CCTV, and identify shoplifters or internal/external theft. You play a key part in upholding our values of respect, integrity, and safety while supporting compliance and lawful case handling. This position offers hands-on loss prevention in a fast-paced retail setting with opportunities to collaborate across locations and with law enforcement when needed.
Responsibilities- Protect assets and reduce shrink through loss prevention initiatives
- Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct plainclothes surveillance when appropriate
- Identify, observe, and apprehend shoplifters and those involved in criminal activity
- Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings to stakeholders
- Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for prosecution
- Perform physical security checks and recommend loss-prevention improvements
- Test AP equipment (EAS, Lane Hawk, CCTV) during store visits
- Travel to multiple locations and maintain flexible schedules, including weekends
- Maintain compliance with laws and company policies; testify in court or hearings when required
- Support the district AP manager in AP initiatives and store-level execution
Key requirements- High School Diploma or GED
