Overview In this role, you will architect and optimize Bloom's Workday HRIS to enable trusted HR data and scalable processes for a global workforce. You will partner across HR Ops, Payroll & Benefits, and Global HR to implement and enhance Workday functionality, reports, and integrations. You will lead releases, ensure compliance and data security, and document processes to support change management. This on-site position contributes to Bloom's mission of a more sustainable, digital-first energy future.
Responsibilities- Configure and maintain Workday HCM, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, and Talent Management
- Serve as technical lead for Workday implementations of Onboarding and Absence Management
- Design and develop Workday reports and dashboards for HR analytics
- Lead or support Workday semi-annual releases including impact analysis, configuration updates, regression testing, and stakeholder communications
- Provide daily systems support, troubleshoot data issues, and implement enhancements per change control guidelines
- Manage integrations between Workday and third-party systems (ADP, Oracle, Benefits Providers, etc.)
- Ensure controls, processes and data security meet audit requirements
- Research and test new Workday functionality and features
- Document business processes and systems functionality for change management and training
- Collaborate with Global HR Operations, HR Business Partners and Payroll & Benefits to define requirements and implement new Workday features
- Ensure data security and integrity through security role design, audits, controls and monitoring
- Provide training and guidance to team members on Workday topics
Key requirements- 6-8 years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple HCM modules
- Proven experience leading Workday projects (new modules, redesigns, integrations, large-scale enhancements)
- Strong understanding of HR processes and how they map to Workday security models
- Advanced Workday reporting, calculated fields, and complex security requirements
- Experience designing and deploying Workday integrations with third-party systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to translate business needs into technical designs
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment
- Excellent communication and ability to lead cross-functional workshops
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
