Project Officer II Construction Manager

As a Project Officer/Construction Manager in NYC supporting the School Construction Authority, you will oversee design and construction activities for complex modernization projects. You'll collaborate with cross functional teams and senior leaders to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery. You will resolve design and field issues, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with contractors and school staff. • Coordinate design and construction activities for complex projects under SCA guidance
• Ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery across design/construction teams
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget; decide phasing and scheduling
• Interface with contractors, school personnel, and SCA senior management
• Develop or review project procedures and policies; advise on SCA-wide processes
• Provide guidance to junior Project Officers and resolve field issues
• Oversee change orders, contract interpretations, shop drawings, and compliance with documents
• Review contractor claims and document contracts for adjudication
• Visit job sites and provide afterhours/weekend coverage as needed
• Travel in NYC and operate with a valid NY driver's license

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 5-7 years of progressive construction/design experience
• 2 years managing all construction phases on a scale similar to SCA
• New York State driver's license

• P.E. license (preferred)
• Bachelor's in Civil/Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• CEI or IAEI Electrical Inspection Certificate (preferred)
