Overview In this remote role you will handle plaintiff-side litigation from start to finish, supporting high-stakes cases in construction defect, inverse condemnation, and related areas. You will manage depositions, basic motion practice, and extensive discovery, while coordinating mediation, arbitration, and trial prep. Responsibilities- Take and defend depositions (up to 2 per day)
- Conduct basic motion practice (oppose or file MSJ, demur) and argue motions when needed
- Manage voluminous discovery: propound and respond
- Perform legal research using Westlaw
- Prepare for mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Handle cases in plaintiff construction defect or inverse condemnation
- Work across complex jurisdictions and at appellate level when required
- Collaborate with a close-knit team and support training needs
Key requirements- CA bar (admitted in California)
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Ideally some plaintiff-side experience
