Overview In this role you will lead and scale our commercial legal operations, partnering with business, finance, and operations to enable growth with pragmatic, business-focused guidance. You'll draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements and build scalable contracting processes to speed deal velocity. You will translate complex legal concepts for leaders, support product launches and GTM strategies, and manage external counsel and IP matters. This hands-on position offers a chance to shape legal capabilities in a fast-paced, regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities- Draft, negotiate, and execute customer, revenue, NDA, vendor, manufacturing, strategic partnership, and joint development agreements
- Collaborate with product, business development, and procurement to accelerate deal execution
- Develop scalable contracting processes, templates, and playbooks
- Provide practical, risk-calibrated legal advice to cross-functional stakeholders
- Translate legal concepts into clear business guidance for leaders
- Support product launches, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies
- Build contracting workflows, approval processes, and legal systems
- Establish templates, clause libraries, and fallback positions
- Improve legal operations to increase efficiency
- Support corporate governance and entity management
- Assist with employment matters, M&A, and other strategic transactions
- Manage outside counsel across specialty areas
- Support IP portfolio management, including strategy and filings
- Support international operations, cross-border compliance, and coordination with local counsel
- Identify and manage legal and commercial risks
- Assist in development of internal policies and compliance programs
- Partner with finance and operations on risk allocation and mitigation
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) and active US license to practice law
- 10+ years of progressive legal experience in commercial transactions within aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries
- Proven success leading complex contract negotiations
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience supporting complex deals with cross-functional teams
- Pragmatic with strong business judgment
