Overview As Project Executive in Gresham Smith's Building Engineering market, you lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects and grow our client base. You will shape strategic client partnerships, guide project teams, and ensure scope, schedule, and quality meet client expectations. You'll influence market growth through proposals, negotiations, and strategic decision-making with senior leadership. This role combines technical leadership with strong client management to drive impactful, sustainable outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute plans to identify and secure strategic clients and partnerships
- Foster and expand client relationships to drive satisfaction, retention, and growth
- Coordinate with EVP to prioritize opportunities and advance market growth
- Win new work and expand the client portfolio through proposals, interviews, and negotiations
- Monitor market trends and forecast skills and capabilities needed
- Maintain strong client relationships while guiding project performance
- Define project goals and ensure scope, schedule, and budget are met
- Guide Project Managers to consistently achieve client expectations and deliverables
- Demonstrate credible leadership with strong technical, project delivery, and client management expertise
- Apply professional persuasion and effective negotiation to secure favorable outcomes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience
- Professional licensure (PE or RA) preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication for persuasive presentations
- Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., higher education, healthcare, industrial, commercial) with highly satisfied clients
- Evidence of strong team leadership, high-quality deliverables, and reliable financial outcomes
- Proven ability to develop new client relationships and maintain long-term partnerships
