Overview As Vice President, Construction Management, you will lead and shape delivery of major transportation and civil infrastructure projects. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget targets while expanding our client base and strategic partnerships. You'll drive best-practice processes, risk assessment, and constructability insights to deliver high-impact outcomes. This role combines strategic business development with high-level project leadership to advance WSP's mission of delivering lasting infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities- Lead and oversee transportation construction projects as project manager or principal-in-charge
- Develop staffing plans and schedules to meet task requirements while ensuring technical excellence
- Drive quality control and assurance across field engineering, inspection, testing, and surveying
- Develop pursuit plans and market strategies to win new clients for construction management and inspection services
- Manage budget adherence and risk mitigation; participate in alternative delivery project deliverables such as constructability reviews and contract drafting
- Foster strong client relationships through marketing, networking, and collaboration with teaming partners
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and WSP policies; promote ethical decision-making and safety
- Support quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-location teams to promote effective communication and teamwork
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed by business needs
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relevant field; or equivalent experience/education
- Minimum 12 years of experience including INDOT project experience with PM/Construction Engineer responsibilities on major projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and lead marketing/BD activities
- Ability to work independently and in teams; strong verbal and written communication
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and record-keeping; analytical decision-making
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to lead and build teams across locations
- Proven safety responsibility and ability to comply with health and safety policies
- Valid driver's license and United States citizenship
- Willingness to travel as needed
