Overview

As Vice President & Associate General Counsel, you will lead key areas of JetBlue's legal function, focusing on commercial transactions, privacy, data governance, and emerging technology. You will partner with senior leadership to enable innovation while managing regulatory risk in a dynamic, consumer facing industry. You will steer complex contracts, real estate and infrastructure matters, and AI governance, shaping legal strategy across the organization. Responsibilities
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements (sourcing, technology, digital, operations, partnerships)
  • Advise on real estate and infrastructure matters (airport agreements, leases, facilities development)
  • Lead privacy, data governance, and cybersecurity strategy and compliance
  • Provide oversight for emerging technology initiatives, including AI governance
  • Lead high-value commercial and strategic transactions
  • Manage outside counsel and external advisors efficiently
  • Lead and develop a high-performing legal team
  • Develop crewmembers' engagement, growth, and goal achievement
  • Other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • J.D. degree and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a major law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
  • Experience advising on real estate transactions and infrastructure-related agreements
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and familiarity with GDPR
  • Ability to design and implement compliance and risk mitigation programs
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional judgment, business acumen, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
