Aviation Program Management Lead

Overview

In this role you lead airport capital improvement programs from setup to closeout, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholders. You will develop comprehensive program management plans and guide procurement and delivery strategies for public-sector projects. You'll build and lead cross-functional teams, strengthen aviation industry relationships, and embed best practices across programs. This is a pivotal position in a values-driven firm focused on delivering practical, high-impact infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead airport capital improvement programs from set-up through closeout, aligning scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder expectations
  • Develop program management plans including schedules, budgets, and various management and involvement plans
  • Guide delivery method selection and contract document strategy and resolve complex public-sector procurement issues
  • Develop and manage budgets for both the firm and the client with understanding of municipal and airport budgeting
  • Build and lead pursuit and delivery teams for airport programs and design pursuits
  • Strengthen and expand relationships across the aviation community for current and future pursuits
  • Review and streamline aviation program approaches to right-size teams and embed aviation best practices
  • Work in the field, including navigating active construction sites and field offices as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, building construction, construction management, or equivalent practical experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • 10+ years of experience in direct management of an aviation department or aviation capital improvement programs
  • Ability to travel as needed and negotiate construction sites without assistance, including working out of field offices
