Overview

In this role you will support a leading international law firm's Insurance Coverage Practice by handling sophisticated property insurance matters, including coverage analysis, dispute resolution, and litigation. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on research, drafting, and strategic client advice. This position offers hybrid/work flexibility and mentorship within a reputable team. You will contribute to meaningful disputes for high-profile clients and help shape coverage strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze policies and claim materials to draft coverage opinions and strategic recommendations
  • Prepare client communications and correspondence with colleagues and opposing counsel
  • Review documents for coverage disputes and litigation
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw
  • Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
  • Conduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings and mediations
  • Support case strategy through all phases of litigation and advocate for clients in dispute resolution
Key requirements
  • JD from a top-tier law school
  • Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction in good standing
  • 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
  • Experience handling property insurance coverage issues including policy analysis and claims evaluation
  • Strong research, writing, and drafting skills with analytical rigor
  • Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with colleagues and clients
  • Prior litigation experience including depositions, hearings, and mediations (preferred)
