Overview In this role you will serve as lead legal counsel for the Fertility and HIV therapeutic area, guiding marketing, medical, and patient support activities to ensure compliant business execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and outside counsel to manage risk and advance strategic initiatives. The position sits in a fast-paced, global environment, emphasizing ethics, regulatory compliance, and practical legal solutions. Responsibilities- Lead attorney for a Fertility & HIV brand, reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials and advising on Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support operations
- Ensure activities comply with FDA, OIG, CMS, state requirements, and company policies, including industry codes (PhRMA Code)
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements supporting the Therapeutic Area
- Deliver legal training on healthcare laws and compliance requirements
- Partner with Commercial, Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams; collaborate with US and Global colleagues
- Identify and mitigate legal risks through counseling, training, and policy application
- Manage outside counsel for Therapeutic Area projects
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience in a firm and/or in-house
- Strong interpretation and application of laws and guidance in a business context
- Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
