Responsibilities- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy
- Draft clear, well-reasoned briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence
- Assist and manage complex cases from inception to resolution, including trial prep, negotiations, and settlements
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships with timely updates and professional communication
- Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop innovative case/transaction strategies
- Attend and contribute to hearings, depositions, negotiations, and trials
- Ensure compliance with evolving legal standards and precedents
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance legal knowledge, practice technology, management, and leadership skills
- Engage in firm programs, pro bono work, and community initiatives
Key requirements- California Bar Admission
- 4-5 years of experience in California state court litigation
- Experience in environmental and/or products liability litigation
- Prior law firm or agency experience
- Strong written and verbal communication, research, and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and good professional judgment
