Overview In this role you will own Datastage DevOps and ETL lifecycle in a global delivery setup, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust data integration solutions. You will manage server-side Datastage, patching, and performance optimization while ensuring reliable Unix and IIS-based environments. You will implement standards, automate deployments, and support data warehousing initiatives that drive business outcomes. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of data engineering and operations, offering impact through scalable, reliable data landscapes.
Responsibilities- Hands-on Datastage DevOps tasks with SVN, uBuild, and uDeploy
- Maintain and monitor Unix and Datastage servers; perform patch install support
- Upgrade and manage Autosys and Datastage environment
- Code retrofit to lower environments and validate with sandbox testing
- Performance optimization and end-to-end IIS architecture understanding
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Developers, and DBAs to meet project objectives
- Define standards and best practices for DW/BI projects
- Interact with stakeholders to capture and publish functional and technical requirements
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent
- 4+ years in DW/BI and ETL concepts
- 4+ years backend RDBMS experience (Oracle and DB2 preferred)
- 4+ years hands-on IBM Datastage design, development, and build activities (v8.5+)
- 3+ years SDLC experience in DW/BI projects
- 3+ years DW/BI development and maintenance project experience
- 2+ years in design and architecture reviews
