Overview In this role you will support Davis Wright Tremaine's commercial litigation practice in Los Angeles, handling a portfolio of cases and collaborating with partners to drive results. You will contribute to case strategy, manage aspects of litigation, and develop a strong, persuasive written and oral advocacy style. The position offers exposure to complex matters, including consumer class actions and other business litigation, with opportunities to refine your practice in a collegial, client-service oriented culture. Responsibilities- Manage cases and casework in collaboration with senior attorneys
- Draft and research pleadings and contested motions (e.g., motions to dismiss, summary judgment, preliminary injunction, class certification)
- Take depositions
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Argue motions in court
- Support complex litigation matters, including consumer class actions and business litigation
- Possibly leverage experience in trademark and trade secret work (preferred)
Key requirements- Minimum of three years' experience in litigation
- California Bar member or pending member
- Clerkship and law-firm experience preferred
- Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
- Desire to build a comprehensive practice in a collegial environment
