Overview

In this role you will lead and supervise construction activities on high-profile infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain schedules, budgets, and risk controls, while delivering on contractual obligations. You will drive change control, reporting, and technical assessments to support project outcomes. This opportunity sits within a dynamic Gateway Program effort in New York, offering impact at scale. You will shape the delivery culture and work closely with cross-functional teams to meet targets and safety commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise construction activities with contractor oversight and stakeholder coordination
  • Administer the Safety and Security Management Plan (SSMP) ensuring compliance and proactive risk mitigation
  • Ensure construction work meets technical specs, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee special inspections, testing, and QA processes
  • Manage site logistics, utility coordination, maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and building management procedures
  • Oversee schedule management, Integrated Master Schedule maintenance, milestone tracking, and timely completion
  • Lead cost and budget management, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and requisition/invoicing support
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual project reports covering safety, quality, environmental, financial, and milestone progress
  • Maintain change control procedures for schedule and budget baselines with versioning and documentation
  • Lead risk management, maintain risk registers, analyses, and contingency planning
  • Provide technical assessments on scope, schedule, and cost changes and manage claims/change orders
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure or transportation construction projects
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including NEPA, permitting, and safety standards
  • Advanced expertise in project controls, scheduling, cost management, and risk assessment
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, special inspections, and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
