Site Manager - Mining (Nationwide)

Overview

In this role you will manage day-to-day on-site administration and technical coordination for field personnel and subcontractors on mining construction projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and project controls align with design, budget, and schedule while supervising field teams. You will cultivate strong client and subcontractor relationships and oversee engineering interfaces, start-up activities, and project turnover. The position offers hands-on leadership on diverse sites with a focus on safety, compliance, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise on-site discipline leads, scheduling, engineering, cost control, and administrative staff
  • Oversee safety program compliance, review site safety documentation, PTAs, and TSOs
  • Manage construction sequencing to meet design, budget, and schedule
  • Coordinate with procurement, subcontractors, and client interfaces; approve progress payments
  • Provide technical guidance on drawings and construction methods; interpret isometrics, P&ID, and other drawings
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation; track schedule and look-ahead reviews
  • Oversee startup and commissioning support and final turnover to clients
  • Ensure quality management system compliance and field site material/tool management
  • Authorize field purchase requisitions and monitor supplier invoices under supervision
  • Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships and support project execution plans
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management or related field with substantial experience
  • Or Associate's degree with significant construction management experience
  • Or High School Diploma/GED with substantial construction management experience
  • Strong understanding of construction disciplines and on-site supervisory capabilities
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills
  • Ability to meet driving requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with progress measurement, scheduling, and field reporting
