Overview As Cost Estimator supporting the PM Formation Based Mission Autonomy at Fort Belvoir, you will integrate technical and sustainment requirements into program cost baselines. You will develop and review cost analyses in ACEIT and prepare independent cost estimates to support program management. You will translate mission requirements into cost parameters, maintaining lifecycle cost estimates and defending methodologies. You will provide financial reporting, support IGCE development, and advise on cost factors and trade-offs to enable a system-of-systems development approach. This role offers exposure to defense acquisition processes and a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Responsibilities- Develop and review cost analyses using ACEIT
- Prepare estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines
- Analyze mission requirements to identify cost parameters and relationships for cost models
- Provide supporting documents to defend cost estimating methodologies
- Develop life cycle cost estimates to determine total program cost
- Support contract cost estimating financial activities and reconciliations
- Provide detailed financial reports and documentation
- Advise functional specialists on cost factors and program alternatives
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) for program management
- Evaluate program impacts based on direction and funding adjustments
- Support the POM planning cycle
Key requirements- Active / Current Secret security clearance
- Proficient with ACEIT
- Familiarity with Army Acquisition Process
- Knowledge of costing policies, precedents, methods, techniques
- Ability to project future budgetary requirements from historical data
- Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5-10 years of relevant cost analysis experience
- Experience evaluating projects for cost-effectiveness across options
- Experience preparing IGCEs
- Ability to refine cost models with changing technical specifications and trade-offs
