Overview As an Insurance Captive Consultant for P&C, you advise clients on forming, managing, and optimizing captive structures to improve financial and operational outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risk, model costs and benefits, and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions. You help clients strategize captive evolution through ongoing reviews and board reporting, staying ahead of industry changes. Responsibilities- Evaluate client risk exposures and feasibility of captive solutions for P&C coverage
- Perform financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and risk retention studies for captive formation and growth
- Collaborate with legal, actuarial, and tax professionals to ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor captive performance, analyze claims data, and optimize risk financing strategies
- Provide ongoing advisory services including annual reviews, board reporting, and strategic planning for captive evolution
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging P&C risks
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, or related field; advanced degree or CPCU/ARM preferred
- 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance, risk management, or captive consulting
- Strong understanding of insurance regulations, captive structures, and alternative risk financing
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills
