Overview As Construction Manager, you will lead field-based construction activities for a Savannah River Site project. You will manage safety, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with cross-functional teams and the Department of Energy. You'll drive risk analyses, develop action plans, and ensure on-time delivery within baselines. Responsibilities- Oversee safety and enforce safety rules on site; stop unsafe work when needed
- Lead a dedicated construction team to meet project scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Present construction status clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform complex analysis of construction problems and develop innovative action plans
- Conduct risk analyses and authorize corrective actions and prioritization
- Optimize construction efficiency across design, construction, turnover, and closeout phases
- Manage costs, schedule, and technical baselines and supervise project staff
- Foster collaboration with Operations, DOE, and other functions; attend meetings and resolve issues
- Represent construction on project teams and coordinate with external organizations to secure resources
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and safety, cost, schedule, and quality baselines
- Monitor project performance and take corrective actions for cost, schedule, safety, and quality
- Provide status reporting to Project/Construction Management leadership
Key requirements- Bachelor in a technical discipline and 13-15 years of construction experience
- Equivalent: Associate's degree with 15-17 years or high school diploma with 17-19 years of experience
- In-depth knowledge of construction, cost, and scheduling; subcontract administration
- Ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques
- Working knowledge of national codes, standards, environmental regulations, radiological (nuclear) environments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and related tools (Adobe, Publisher)
- U.S. citizenship; valid driver's license; security clearance considerations
