Overview

You will contribute to the CRISPR-X team, advancing in vivo gene insertion across tissues. You work closely with cross-disciplinary groups to push editing and delivery toward clinical readiness. You apply immunology expertise to develop novel editing modalities and robust data analyses. This role offers impact in shaping next-generation gene therapies and expanding cutting-edge in vivo approaches.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute workflows for gene editing in primary cells, including T cells
  • Conduct molecular biology work with advanced cloning and diverse delivery strategies (transfection, viral transduction, tLNP)
  • Collaborate across CRISPR Therapeutics and with external partners to drive projects toward clinical readiness
  • Evaluate editing efficiency, cell phenotype, and construct expression; ideate new strategies
  • Perform ddPCR assays to quantify transgene integration; design and run T cell phenotyping by flow cytometry
  • Leverage immunology background to drive innovative editing, delivery, and expression approaches
  • Analyze data across experiments and present to broad audiences
  • Manage and curate critical data with statistical analysis and troubleshooting
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience with gene editing and synthetic immunology in academic or industry settings
  • PhD with 2-5+ years (or non-PhD with 10-12+ years) of relevant experience
  • Strong cloning, flow cytometry, primary T cell culture, editing assays, and T cell phenotype/function assessment skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating across teams
  • Strong communicator; collaborative team player
