Overview In this role you will lead multi-disciplinary site development projects in Frederick, MD, driving design from concept through permitting to construction and supporting business development with local builders. You will supervise junior staff, coordinate with agencies, and engage clients to expand Dewberry's workload in the region. You'll apply your knowledge of Frederick County processes to advance entitlement and engineering approvals while delivering high-quality, compliant designs. This opportunity combines technical leadership with strategic marketing to grow a regional practice.
Responsibilities- Supervise a multi-discipline team designing and developing construction plans for site civil/infrastructure projects
- Manage client communication and budget oversight
- Prepare or oversee construction documents, graphics, exhibits, and technical reports
- Perform engineering analyses and cost estimates
- Ensure quality control/quality assurance to deliver a high-quality design product
- Guide project from concept through permitting, design, construction, and post-construction phases
- Establish milestones and monitor progress for final results
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban and Regional Planning
- RLA/AICP in Maryland
- Ten+ years of experience in land development design and execution in Frederick, MD area
- Experience with graphics, exhibits, and site/civil construction plans
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
