Overview In this Senior Account Executive role within McKinstry's Data Center Innovations division, you drive high-complexity sales, cultivate key client relationships, and close large contracts. You blend market strategy with technical insight to guide projects from opportunity through execution. You will work with cross-functional teams to support financial, contractual, and technical aspects for owned accounts. This is an impact role that advances sustainable built environments at scale.

Responsibilities- Manage a portion of annual sales based on department needs
- Prepare estimates and quality proposals following McKinstry guidelines
- Develop and own market strategies including SWOT, competitive analysis, and market offerings
- Coordinate with the Business Unit Manager to ensure project success
- Assist with hiring, coaching, and performance development
- Provide feedback to Director of Business Development for evaluations
- Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders and associations
- Support clients on financial, contractual, and technical issues
- Own assigned accounts and other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Proven proficiency as an Account Executive
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Visio; SharePoint knowledge preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent experience
- Ability to read construction plans, specifications, contracts, proposals and estimates
- Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems
- Seven years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor
- Five years of experience leading and closing sales
- Knowledge of conceptual estimating
