Overview

In this role you will lead US Consumer merchandising design and execution to enhance the shopping experience and reinforce brand presentation, aligning with divisional strategy and budgets. You will oversee the US IAR process and manage a small team, collaborating with field sales, trade marketing, marketing, procurement, and suppliers. You drive cost optimization, innovative merchandising solutions, and timely execution to support sales growth. This hybrid position at Hunt Valley, MD offers a chance to shape in-store experiences for McCormick brands.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and execution of US Consumer merchandising requirements, including complex floor displays and temporary/permanent fixtures
  • Manage timelines, milestones, and checkpoints to deliver work on time and in full
  • Oversee fiduciary costs for all merchandising vehicles (capitalized and expensed)
  • Identify and implement optimization projects to reduce costs while meeting business needs
  • Coordinate between field sales, trade marketing, marketing, procurement, and suppliers for merchandising needs and inventories
  • Own Special Initiative Programs, leading cross-functional project teams
  • Drive commercial decisions to reduce inventory write-offs (IAR)
  • Direct supervision of 2 exempt team members
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of professional marketing/sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years in merchandising, visual merchandising, or display design (CPG/retail)
  • Strong knowledge of display design principles, planograms, and product presentation
  • Proven ability to manage people, projects, and tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members with strong leadership
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to plan multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic thinking with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and EDW reporting/analytics
  • Broad knowledge of CPG categories and merchandising vehicles
