Overview

In this role you lead construction projects (new facilities, expansions, renovations) and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, high-quality delivery. You supervise trade groups, organize schedules, and manage resources to keep projects on time and within budget. You also coach staff, manage performance, and maintain strong liaison with Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering. This role combines leadership, planning, and hands-on problem solving in a growth driven, employee owned culture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project execution and provide technical guidance to partners to meet safety and quality standards
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports; conduct performance conversations
  • Plan work sequences, coordinate equipment and personnel to meet schedules
  • Verify earned value and forecasted completion percentages
  • Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Apply safety observations and mitigate hazards to reduce incidents
  • Practice Quality/LEAN methods (pull planning, six-week look ahead, value mapping)
  • Budget projects via labor hour estimates to fit schedule and budget
  • Provide material takeoffs, estimates, and pricing for scope changes
  • Resolve productivity, interfaces, and manpower issues; escalate when needed
  • Maintain cross-department coordination (Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to support activities
  • Hold pre-job and planning meetings to clarify contracts and requirements
Key requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant construction management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, rules, regulations, and quality standards
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, coordination and BIM drawings, submittals, specifications
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process; ability to see the big picture
  • Strong conflict and crisis management abilities
  • Leadership and time/project management skills
  • Must possess all relevant licenses and certifications; Construction Superintendent certification preferred
